This is a pass that can be used for travelling to Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, Nara, Himeji and other sightseeing places within the Kansai area via local trains and rapid service trains.
You can also use this pass to get to Universal City Station, the closest station to Universal Studio Japan.

Fares are subject to change without prior notice. Prices are valid 1 January 2011 - 31 March 2012. Prices are subject to change due to currency fluctuations. FARE TYPES Adult Child aged 6 - 11 years inclusive, pay 50% of the adult fare. VALIDITY 1, 2, 3 or 4 consecutive days of travel. VALIDATION You must be entering Japan as a temporary visitor / tourist in order to purchase any Japan Rail Pass. Japan Rail officials will check your entry status stamp in your passport before issuing your rail pass. An exchange order will be issued upon payment of your pass. On arrival in Japan, you will need to exchange this order to obtain your rail pass. Exchange orders are valid for three months from the date of issue. Exchange orders or passes cannot be refunded or reissued if lost or stolen. EXCHANGE OR REFUND An Exchange Order that has not been turned into a Japan Rail Pass can be returned to the office where it was purchased for a refund, within one year of the date of issue. Approved refunds will incur a handling fee and communication fee. LOST OR STOLEN RAIL PASSES Pass is non-exchangeable and non-refundable if lost or stolen. IMPORTANT Passes are strictly personal, non-transferable and only valid with a passport. Presentation of this document to the Japanese staff, when requested, is compulsory. Seat reservations cannot be made from Australia; reservations need to be made locally.
