Scenic Journey Inclusions
Swiss Scenic Journeys are a great way to experience the best of the Swiss Alps and some of Switzerland’s most picturesque cities. These journeys offer the convenience of purchasing a package with the freedom of independent travel. There are no escorts or tour guides to hurry you along, so you can explore at your own pace, secure in the knowledge that your accommodation is booked and your rail tickets arranged. Journeys can be upgraded, additional days and can be taken in reverse.

This journey includes:
• Swiss Transfer Ticket Tops of Switzerland (5 transfers) incl. excursions Jungfraujoch and Pilatus in 2nd class from/to Swiss border or airport
• 2 nights in Interlaken including breakfast
• 2 nights in Lucerne including breakfast

Itinerary
The tour operates year round:

Day 1:
Arrival in Interlaken by train 2nd class from the Swiss border or any Swiss airport.
Overnight in Interlaken.

Day 2:
Excursion from Interlaken up to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe. From Interlaken Ost the train takes you via Grindelwald or Wengen to the Kleine Scheidegg, at the foot of the famous Eiger North Wall. The Jungfrau Railway takes you up to theJungfraujoch – at 3454 m/11’333 ft thehighest railway station in Europe. Breathtaking views of the Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in the Alps.
Overnight in Interlaken.

Day 3:
Rail trip by Brünig Express from Interlaken to Lucerne (panoramic seats in 1st class only).
Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 4:
Excursion to Mount Pilatus. By train or boat to Alpnachstad and by the steepest cogwheel railway to the top (known as the Dragon Mountain). Cable car from Kriens is included. Noght in Luzern. For the Mount Pilatus excursion, travelers will receive a “Pilatus Ticket” at the mountain railway stations in Alpnachstad or Kriens upon presentation of their Swiss Transfer Ticket. The cogwheel railway from Alpnachstad to Pilatus Kulm is only open from May to November. During the winter, clients can travel both ways via Kriens and Pilatus cablecar.
Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 5:
Departure to Swiss border or airport or continue your stay and discover more of Switzerland at your own pace.

Journeys can also be made in the opposite direction.

It is possible to request a hotel, however this cannot be guaranteed.

Child Rules
Child up to 5 inclusive: free of charge in the hotels
Child up to 5 inclusive: sharing room with 2 paying adults, breakfast for child paid locally.
Child up to 5 inclusive: sharing room with 1 paying adult, the adult pays single supplement and breakfast for child paid locally.

Children from 6 up to 15 inclusive, accompanied by at least on parent, travel free on the Swiss Travel System network with the Swiss Family card (Please request at time of booking). A child (6-15yrs) requiring sole use of a room is considered as an adult and will be required to pay full supplement.

Cancellations and Modifications
Cancellation and modification fees will apply, the amount will be confirmed when changes required.
As soon as the booking is confirmed, cancellations and modifications will apply.
It is possible to modify a booking up to 2 business days before 1st hotel night.
Administration fees will apply to all cancellations.
If a client decides in Switzerland not to use the package, the below rules also apply.
Partial refunds of hotel nights and/or train days are not possible.

Modification fees:
Fees will apply to any change such as travel dates, hotels, additional nights, upgrades, downgrades made on existing bookings.
0% if cancellation is done up to 30 days before 1st hotel night
15% if cancellation is done between 29 and 6 days before 1st hotel night
30% if cancellation is done between 5 and 2 days before 1st hotel night
100% if cancellation is done 1 day or less before 1st hotel night

• 3 star accommodation is included, upgrades with the payment of a supplement are possible.

• 2nd class travel, 1st class travel available with payment of supplement
• Reservation fees are not included, some trains will require compulsory
