The Royal Rajasthan comprises of 13 saloons including two restaurants, a bar and spa.

Deluxe Saloon:
Welcome to your exquisite saloon, your personal imperial chamber. The saloon has been designed to live up to the grandeur of contemporary princely living with elegant silk furnishings for a befitting aesthetic appeal. These saloons have been thematically designed with co-ordinated colour schemes and textures to augment their splendour. Your chamber offers luxuries with meticulously chosen bedding and upholstery, writing-table and chair to make your stay more comfortable. Your furnished saloon gives you sufficient mobility within the coupe. The saloons have been created in three different themes in hues of exquisite jewels, Ruby, Sapphire and Pearl.

Super Deluxe Saloon:
Your princely saloon offers a spacious living with complete comfort of royal suite. The exquisite silk and velvet bedspreads and draperies take you to the era of munificent living. The finely carved wooden furniture in the super-deluxe suite adds to your experience. The bed in the cabin is large and comfortable with colour-coordinated draperies. The ottoman, sofa-chairs and writing table have been provided to make your stay more comfortable. The suites have been named after the two precious stones, Emerald and Diamond.

The departure point for Royal Rajasthan is Delhi’s Safdarjung Railway Station.
The station is located behind Chanakyapuri, near the Rail Museum, New Delhi, INDIA – 110021.
This prestigious train departs from Safdarjung Railway Station at 4.30pm.
The train returns to Delhi at approximately 7.30am.

Additional Information
Checkin:
The documentation which you receive will include an itinerary and your confirmation e-voucher from Royal Rajasthan. Ensure that you have this e-voucher when you arrive at Safdarjung Railway Station, where your e-voucher will be exchanged for the train tickets. A representative will be on hand at the train station to assist you with boarding.

Travel documentation and insurance:
You must have visa before arriving in India and these are available at Indian missions worldwide. Please ensure that you have correct and valid documentation to enter India.

Rail Tickets strongly recommends that you take out travel insurance to cover cancellations, health requirements, luggage and valuables.

Additional charges:
All major currencies and credit cards are accepted as forms for payment for additional charges which are incurred during your journey.

Information for smokers:
The Royal Rajasthan offers a completely smoke-free environment. There is no smoking on-board the train; this includes the vestibules between coaches, restaurants, bar/lounge and the restroom facilities. Should you wish to smoke contact your captain for guidance.

Climate:
September is at the end of the monsoon period and temperatures can range from 35°C - 40°C, it can also be humid. Between October and December the post monsoon period sees a drop in temperatures with the average minimum around to 18°C and maximum 38°C. January to March is the winter period, with January being the region’s coldest month. Temperatures during these months can range from 10°C to 27°C. April is the start of summer and temperatures in this season range from 32°C to 45°C.

Clothing:
Light cottons and other breathable fabrics are strongly recommended, with jumpers/cardigans needed for winter nights. Umbrellas rather than rain gear are suggested for the monsoon months.

Royal Rajasthan Tips:
• Your camera will fall in love with the picturesque Rajasthan, remember to pack you battery charger or to bring along spare sets of batteries. • While shopping for your trip to Rajasthan on the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels, buy yourself a pair of binoculars. The train journey is a treat to explore the villages, marooned architectural monuments, landscapes and people.
• Include a bottle of mosquito/wasp repellent for the time you will explore the wilderness of Rajasthan.|
• Be experimental and savour the traditional mouth-watering delicacies of Rajasthan.
• Keeping sun glasses and sun hat are handy for those who cannot stay exposed in sun for long.
• When visiting temples, remember to take off your shoes.
• While visiting the Ranthambore National Park and the Bird Sanctuary at Bharatpur, it is suggested that you carry enough woollens to protect yourself from early morning chill.
• A dip in the swimming pool of luxury hotel will rejuvenate you. Don’t forget to carry your swim suit/bathing gear.

Payment:

• A deposit of 50% of the total fare is required to confirm places on this service - if payment is not made, a firm reservation is not held.
• The balance must be paid no later than 50 days prior to the intended travel date.
• Bookings made within 50 days of the intended travel date must be paid in full at time of booking.

Cancellation and Administration Fees:
• Cancellations more than 60 days prior to the departure date incur a 10% cancellation penalty.
• Cancellations made 31 - 59 days prior to departure incur a 25% cancellation penalty.
• Cancellations made 30 days or less prior to departure are non-refundable
