Introduced in 2000 the Northern Belle reflects the luxury and style of the 1930s ‘Belle’ trains.
Northern Belle celebrates the best of British craftsmanship with hand decorated interiors and beautiful fabrics. The beauty of the carriages vies for attention with the splendour of the natural landscape.
Carriages
As a reflection of the affluent 'Belle' trains of the 1930's, each Northern Belle carriage bears the name of a significant stately home. Furnished with commissioned designs, fabrics and marquetry, the Northern Belle is truly a celebration of British heritage and skills.
The Northern Belle comprises six dining carriages, with a maximum capacity of 252 passengers. Each carriage seats 42 guests and contains tables of two and four, with plenty of room for guests to move around and enjoy the train's sociable atmosphere.
Dining & Cuisine
The dining experience on board the British Pullman is one of true excellence and luxury.
Chef Matthew Smith takes great prides in creating the menus onboard the British Pullman. Gourmet dining with the finest wines and Champagnes is a highlight of every journey and each menu is lovingly created around the finest seasonal delicacies from the British Isles, coaxed into simple, classic dishes by our team of chefs.
Regional menus for our journeys throughout Great Britain incorporate products from the specific area, giving our guests a true flavour of the region in which they are visiting.

Your Journey
Your journey begins as you are welcomed by your steward, and shown to your seat. Beautifully laid tables with starched tablecloths, along with uniquely branded silverware, emphasise the elegant and comfortable carriages.
Once onboard, the care continues. Fine dining is a highlight of every journey. The cuisine is a delight, accompanied by champagne and wine; the service, like your journey, will be calm and unruffled.
The Spirit of Travel is a unique dining experience, which will take you on a circular tour through Britain's beautiful countryside whilst you relax aboard the gleaming carriages of the Northern Belle and enjoy a sumptuous lunch, accompanied by Champagne and fine wine. In the care of your steward, sit back and relax in the convivial atmosphere. The journey is as exciting as the destination.

Terms and Conditions
Bookings require a 30% deposit at the time of confirmation, with full balance payable 60 days prior to the departure date.
Once a booking has been made cancellation penalties apply:
21 or more clear working days before train departure date: 30% cancellation penalty;
3-20 clear working days before train departure date: 70% cancellation penalty;
Within two days of departure or no show: 100% cancellation penalty (no refund).
Once a booking has been made and a change is required then the following administration fees apply:
More than 56 working days before departure date: One free change then 10% amendment fee;
21-55 clear working days before train departure date: 20% amendment fee;
3-20 clear working days before train departure date: 60% amendment fee;
Within two days of departure or no show: 100% amendment fee.
Administration Fees are imposed for change of passenger’s names, departure dates or compartment types.
