Nice-Moscow Train

Travelling by train is a great way to see real Russia. Moscow is easily connected to Western Europe, cities already connected to Moscow via regular train routes include Beijing, Berlin, Budapest, Helsinki, Prague and Ulan Bator, Mongolia.

The first Moscow-Nice express train has arrived on 23 September 2010 at the French Riviera after almost a century break. It covered a distance of more than 3,000kms in just 53 hours.

Onboard Services

This new luxury train offer 3 classes of service:
Deluxe (3 carriages)
First Class (6 carriages)
Second Class (1 carriage)

Deluxe:
Individual compartments have private showers, toilets and televisions.
Breakfast is included in the price of the ticket.

First Class:
Individual compartments have private showers, toilets and televisions.
No meal included in the price of the ticket.

Second Class:
No meal included in the price of the ticket.

Restaurant Car:
Between Moscow and Brest, the train has two restaurant carriages of the Federal Passenger Company’s Moscow subsidiary, and on the Warsaw-Nice-Warsaw part of the journey, the train has two restaurant carriages of the PKP Intercity company (Poland).

The restaurant carriages offer Russian and European cuisine, with menus provided in Russian and English. Restaurant staff speak Russian, Polish, and English.

Luggage:
Luggage is restricted to up to 35kg for each adult and 15kg per for children under 12.

Fares
Services can only be booked up to 90 days in advance.
Reservations are mandatory.

Fares types:
Adult:
Child: aged 4-12yrs.
Youth: 13-25yrs
Senior: 60+yrs

Child Policy:
2 children under 12yrs can travel free in a deluxe carriage.
1 child under 12yrs can travel free of charge with an adult family ticket

Exchange/Refund
Exchange and refund policies vary depending on the type of fare purchased.
Exchanges, to exchange a ticket, client must buy a new ticket and then send the unused stamped ticket back to the issuing office for a refund.
Refunds, when authorized, can only be performed in the issuing country up to 60 days after the train departure date.
Special cancellation fees apply to some fares.
Refund administrative fees apply
Lost or stolen tickets are neither refundable nor replaceable.
Reservations are not refundable.

Check-in and Immigrations Procedures
There are no check-in or customs procedures prior to boarding however for night trains we strongly recommend to arrive in advance to find the right coach and accommodation booked.
Passports and visas are checked at the Poland/Belarus border. At the border, the wheel gauge is changed, but passengers stay onboard for this process.
