Scenic Journey Inclusions
Swiss Scenic Journeys are a great way to experience the best of the Swiss Alps and some of Switzerland’s most picturesque cities. These journeys offer the convenience of purchasing a package with the freedom of independent travel. There are no escorts or tour guides to hurry you along, so you can explore at your own pace, secure in the knowledge that your accommodation is booked and your rail tickets arranged. Journeys can be upgraded, additional days and can be taken in reverse.

This journey includes:
• Swiss Card GoldenPassLine (4 transfers) in 1st class from/to Swiss border or airport
• 1st class seat reservations for Golden-Pass Panoramic Brünig, BLS + MOB trains
• 2 nights in Lucerne including breakfast
• 2 nights in Interlaken including breakfast
• 1 night in Montreux including breakfast
• Any additional tickets for optional excursions to travel by rail, boat, postal-coaches and cable cars can be purchased at 25–50% of the regular fares

Itinerary
The tour operates year round:

Day 1:
Arrival in Lucerne by train 1st class from the Swiss border or any Swiss airport.
Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 2:
Full day at leisure. We suggest an excursion by boat and cogwheel train to Mount Pilatus, one mountain...360° Switzerland. Your Swiss Card will entitle you to a 50% discount
Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 3:
From Lucerne over the Brünig Pass to Interlaken by GoldenPass train Panoramic Brünig by Zentralbahn train. On your journey you will pass 3 small lakes before reaching Lake Brienz with its very distinctive colour due to its glacial waters.
Overnight in Interlaken.

Day 4:
Full day at leisure. We suggest an excursion to the Jungfraujoch the highest train station in Europe (Top of Europe). Impressive
views of snow-capped peaks and the Aletsch Glacier, which extends for 22 km and is the longest glacier in the Alps.
Overnight in Interlaken.

Day 5:
Trip by train to Zweisimmen by Golden-Pass Panoramic BLS train. Change to the GoldenPass Panoramic MOB train for the rest of the days memorable trip to Montreux. You find yourself among alpine forests, bubbling mountain springs and picturesque mountain villages.
Overnight in Montreux.

Day 6:
Departure to Swiss border or airport or continue your stay and discover more of Switzerland at your own pace.

Journeys can also be made in the opposite direction.

It is possible to request a hotel, however this cannot be guaranteed.

Child Rules
Child up to 5 inclusive: free of charge in the hotels
Child up to 5 inclusive: sharing room with 2 paying adults, breakfast for child paid locally.
Child up to 5 inclusive: sharing room with 1 paying adult, the adult pays single supplement and breakfast for child paid locally.

Children from 6 up to 15 inclusive, accompanied by at least on parent, travel free on the Swiss Travel System network with the Swiss Family card (Please request at time of booking). A child (6-15yrs) requiring sole use of a room is considered as an adult and will be required to pay full supplement.

Cancellations and Modifications
Cancellation and modification fees will apply, the amount will be confirmed when changes required.
As soon as the booking is confirmed, cancellations and modifications will apply.
It is possible to modify a booking up to 2 business days before 1st hotel night.
Administration fees will apply to all cancellations.
If a client decides in Switzerland not to use the package, the below rules also apply.
Partial refunds of hotel nights and/or train days are not possible.

Modification fees:
Fees will apply to any change such as travel dates, hotels, additional nights, upgrades, downgrades made on existing bookings.
0% if cancellation is done up to 30 days before 1st hotel night
15% if cancellation is done between 29 and 6 days before 1st hotel night
30% if cancellation is done between 5 and 2 days before 1st hotel night
100% if cancellation is done 1 day or less before 1st hotel night

• 3 star accommodation is included, upgrades with the payment of a supplement are possible.

• 2nd class travel, 1st class travel available with payment of supplement
• Reservation fees are not included, some trains will require compulsory
