Elipsos Trenhotel operates daily services between Madrid/Barcelona to Paris. There are also 3 services a week between Barcelona and Zurich, as well as Barcelona and Milan.

Suburban Trains:
By presenting their Trenhotel ticket before boarding, all Elipsos customers can travel free on the following routes on the date which appears on the ticket: Madrid Chamartín to Madrid Atocha and v/v and Barcelona Franca to Barcelona Sants and v/v.

Tourist Class is the most suitable option for travelling in a group, with friends or with family. Booking a whole cabin will give you total privacy and comfort.

On Board Restaurant:
Restaurant operates between 6pm and 2am for dinner.
The dining experience is one of the highlights of the journey: a top-quality evening meal, featuring an range of fresh products prepared to order in the train’s kitchens. The menu offers a wide variety of starters, main courses, desserts and a selection of Spanish and French wines. The gastronomic offer is based on Mediterranean cuisine and complemented with an appetizing range of international dishes.

Breakfast is served in the restaurant from 6am onwards and a breakfast delivery service is available for Gran Class and Preference Class travellers.
Customers can choose between the Express Breakfast, which consists of a continental breakfast, and the 5* Breakfast, which also includes fruit, a hot dish and a yogurt.

Other Dining Options:
The Cafeteria which opens 6pm and 2am is the ideal place to relax over a soft drink, an aperitif, some tapas, a sandwich or a hot dish. A wide range of food and drink products are available to help make your journey a more pleasant experience. The cafeteria is definitely an ideal place to share the journey with the family or to make new friends.
Snacks and drinks are also available for purchase from the food and refreshments trolley before 1am.

VIP Lounges
All Grand Class and Club Class customers have free access to the Club Lounge at Madrid Chamartín station and to the Eurostar Lounge at Milano Centrale station.

Luggage
3 items of luggage with a maximum combined weight of 20kg and maximum dimensions of 250 cm (Length x Width x Height) is permitted, this includes handbags, shopping bags, etc.
Passengers must store their luggage properly, if this is not possible, the luggage will not be permitted onboard.

Fares
Services can only be booked up to 90 days in advance.
Reservations are mandatory.

Child: 4-11yrs
Value: 14 day advance purchase fares, valid on Double Gran Class, Double and Tourist on all routes.
Passholder: fares valid in conjunction with passes detailed below

Passholder fares:
• Pass needs to be validated prior to boarding the train.
• Flexi pass holders need to use a travel day on their Flexi pass.
• 7PM rule applies. (refer below for details)
• Customers can purchase any accommodation regardless the class of pass.
• Passholder fares applicable to Eurail Global Pass, Eurail Spain Pass, Eurail Portugal-Spain Pass, France Rail Pass, Eurail France-Spain Pass, Eurail France-Italy Pass, Eurail Italy-Spain, Eurail France-Switzerland Pass, Eurail Greece-Italy Pass (valid only on Barcelona-Milan route), Eurail Italy Pass (valid only from Milano to Barcelona), Eurail Select Pass covering at least one country on the route, Swiss Pass (valid only on Barcelona-Zurich)

7PM Bonus rule:
You could travel between 7pm and midnight for FREE. If you board a direct overnight train after 7pm (1900) then you only need to write the next day’s date in the calendar box on your pass, provided it falls within the validity of the pass.

Exchange/Refund
Special cancellation fees apply to some fares.
Exchange and refund policies vary depending on the type of fare purchased.
Refunds, when authorized, can only be performed in the issuing country up to 60 days after train departure date.

Check-in Procedures
No check-in procedures before boarding Elipsos trains however there is a baggage security screening at Spanish stations. It is advisable to arrive early to ensure ample time for security clearance.
Ticket control and passport checks are done onboard the train.
