Prices are subject to a $30 service fee and 5% Canadian GST. Additional Provincial taxes (PST, QST and/or HST) of up to 10% may be applicable and are dependent upon the point of embarkation. Bookings requiring seat reservations incur a booking fee. A $40 fee is applied to online bookings and a fee of $45 is charged for telephone bookings. FARE TYPES Adult Youth aged 12 - 17 years inclusive or aged 18 years requires International Student Identification Card (ISIC) Senior aged 60+ years SEASONALITY High and low seasons are applicable on the Canrailpass - System. All travel must commence within the period for which the pass is purchased. High Season: 01 June - 15 October Low Season: 01 January - 31 May and 16 October - 31 December VALIDITY 7 trips within a 21-day period. RESERVATIONS Canrail Passes are valid for economy class travel. The number of seats available to Canrailpass holders is limited, and bookings made using a Canrailpass must be done at least three (3) days in advance of travel date. Sleepers and upgrades are subject to additional surcharges. Class upgrades on Canrailpasses are not permitted. Canrailpasses are valid for travel only in the class of service for which they are issued. EXCHANGE OR REFUND The Canrail Pass must be completely unused and must be returned to the issuing office within 1 year. Approved refunds will incur a cancellation penalty of AUD $55.00 per pass. LOST OR STOLEN RAIL PASSES Pass is non-exchangeable and non-refundable if lost or stolen.
